MassMEDIC launches new Women in MedTech Networking and Leadership Forum
We are pleased to announce the re-launch of the MassMedic Women in MedTech Networking and Leadership Forum
The mission of the MassMedic Women in MedTech Networking and Leadership Forum is to provide networking opportunities that inspire, engage, mentor and connect women at every stage of their professional career and from all areas of the New England medtech ecosystem.
The Forum will convene a series of events this year featuring speakers and panels discussing the issues, challenges and opportunities for women in the medtech industry. Each event will also include structured networking time to enable attendees to make new connections.
Join us for the year’s first Women in MedTech Networking & Leadership Forum event on February 26, 2019 featuring guest speaker Mary Anne Heino, President and Chief Executive Officer, Lantheus Medical Imaging, Inc.
“MassMedic plays an important role in supporting the growth and success of medical device companies in the region, providing important resources, advocacy, education, and information to its members,” said Ms. Heino. “I commend MassMedic for relaunching its Women in MedTech Networking & Leadership Forum and creating opportunities that support career development and advancement for women in medtech. I look forward to the forum and hope my insights and experiences from three decades in the Life Sciences are valuable, especially the role mentorship has played in my career.”
Sarah Faulkner, editor, MassDevice.com, and Drug Delivery Business News, will interview Mary Anne Heino about her 30-year career in the life sciences, from starting out at Janssen Pharmaceutical as a Sales Representative in 1989, to progressively higher leadership positions at Janssen, Labopharm, Centocor (a J&J Company) to more recently becoming President, CEO and Board Director of Lantheus in 2015. Mary Anne will discuss how under her tenure Lantheus Medical Imaging has been recognized as one of the fastest growing Life Sciences companies in Massachusetts, according to the Boston Business Journal and being ranked 23rd on the list of the 2018 Top 100 women-run businesses in the state, according to the Boston Globe. In addition, Mary Anne will discuss the importance of mentors and coaching, and how it has impacted her personally.
The event will be sponsored and held at Draper, and will include a showcase of some biomedical technologies that are being led by women. During the networking, you’ll have an opportunity to learn about these exciting innovations.

Mary Anne Heino, CEO, Lantheus Medical Imaging
Mary Anne Heino has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Lantheus Medical Imaging, Inc. and a Director of Lantheus Holdings, Inc. since August 2015. She previously served as Chief Operating Officer, a position she held since March 2015, and Chief Commercial Officer, a position she held since joining Lantheus in April 2013. Ms. Heino brings more than 30 years of diverse pharmaceutical industry experience to Lantheus. Prior to joining Lantheus, Ms. Heino led Angelini Labopharm LLC and Labopharm USA in the roles of President and Senior Vice President of World Wide Sales and Marketing from February 2007 to March 2012. From May 2000 until February 2007, Ms. Heino served in numerous capacities at Centocor, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson Company, including Vice President Strategic Planning and Competitive Intelligence, Vice President Sales, Executive Director Customer Relationship Management and Senior Director Immunology Marketing. Ms. Heino began her professional career with Janssen Pharmaceutica as a Sales Representative in June 1989 and worked her way up to the role of Field Sales Director in 1999. Ms. Heino received her Master’s in Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the City University of New York and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
